What's New?

14 October 2016

COMPanion is pleased to announce the upcoming release of KeepnTrack 3.16.2, offering several new features and improvements, the biggest of which include:

  • Resolve Duplicates. KeepnTrack now provides a tool to help administrators identify and eliminate or merge duplicate person and application records.
  • Tell your operators. The new Operator Alert entered in Person Management (Access tab) will show to the operator only whenever this person signs in or out.
  • Send a quick alert. A new “Alert” button in the Attended Kiosk is a quick way for a front-office person to send an alert that something's wrong.

New & Improved

Special Considerations

From the 3.16.1 update in July, which may still be applicable for some users:

  • Clear Browser Cache. Due to changes in the web interface architecture it may be necessary for users to clear their browser cache and recreate new bookmarks for commonly used modules before using KeepnTrack. If you do not do this, some pages may not load correctly or they may appear to load but not function as expected!
  • Review Security. With numerous improvements to classification and facility security, it is recommended that you review your security groups and operators to ensure your users have appropriate record type access.
  • Reconfigure Universal KeepnTrack Scanners. Due to changes in People Management, you must reconfigure any Universal KeepnTrack Scanners that you'd like to use for the purpose of creating new records in this module. You can do this by simply scanning the appropriate configuration barcodes found HERE.
