Textbooks Management is where you add, view, duplicate, move, and modify standard information about the textbooks in your database. Each textbook title can have one or more copies, which are managed in the Textbooks and Copies tabs, respectively. Copy records, which represent the physical assets in your collection, are assigned individual barcodes and can be managed individually.
In a Centralized Catalog, all libraries share title information, so every single library benefits from the changes you make. Depending on your security permissions, you can view and edit item records for every collection in your district.
Items Management consists of two distinct areas: the Records List on the left, and the Current Record pane on the right. Go to the Current Item pane to switch between Titles and Copies, then Select a title, then either edit the textbook record to the right, or go to the Copies tab to view and edit its copies. Remember to click the padlock to unlock the record for editing. For a consistent look and feel to your records, we recommend that you only provide the information you need, and then save your changes before closing the window.
