An Alexandria module/area that contains a diverse assortment of program and management tools that perform a variety of tasks. Everything from Preferences to Administration settings, not to mention Reports, Utilities, Exports, and Imports. Depending on your Security permissions, you may not have access to all the modules shown in the Tools window.

In the redesign, Tools is split into three categories: Manage, Rules, and Services. Some modules/areas have been moved around.

The topnav is the navigation bar at the very top of the application. In Librarian, it displays the User menu, Messages, and Help menu and is always accessible.

A user interface control that indicates which of two modes a preference, setting, or display is on. This is usually represented by a circle that can be slid to either the left or right.

One unique toggle Alexandria has is the MARC toggle/button in Items Management. It looks like a button but behaves like a toggle (goes back and forth between normal view and MARC view).

A tooltip is a small box that appears when a user hovers their mouse over an item. It provides information with minimal disruption to what the user is doing.

Tooltips appear either below-right to a cursor or in-line right of the selected item and are dismissed when a user moves their mouse. On touch devices, they appear after a long tap and are dismissed when a user touches another part of the interface.
