Highlights

We’re mostly making small fixes and changes in this release, but we’ve put together a video showing off recent new features!

New & Improved

We've improved system logging for when users log in and out of Alexandria, and the License Expiring notice now includes contact information. 

Due to the popularity of our SIS Integration with GG4L—which has many benefits over SIF—almost all customers have converted from the old SIF standard to the new service. Thus, COMPanion will be discontinuing SIF support as of version 22.1 in Summer 2022. Routes will soon be depreciated.

Circulation

• Copy List in Items Management is now interactive.

Patrons

• When patron passwords are auto-generated, patrons with a special character in their last name will be prompted to set a new password when logging in. 

Tools 

• On receipt of subscriptions, the copy will be assigned the selected policy.

Exports

• Exporting items now reports the correct number of exported copies in the summary.

Reports

• Items marked Lost that are found while being checked out to a patron will still show up in Overdue reports.
• The consistency issue with homeroom lists being populated in Reports Selections was fixed.
• Used barcodes are no longer showing up in the Unused Barcodes report results.

Researcher

• Changing the Lexile code in Browse will not cause the Lexile range to reset.

Preferences

• Improved SIP2 logging to include connection failures in the log.

If you self-host on a Mac, hold off updating your servers to macOS 10.15 Catalina. Alexandria will be 64-bit compatible in a future release. We highly recommend you consider Cloud Hosting.
