The root page ALIB:Library could not be found in space Alexandria Library.

All of your database information will be stored in an Alexandria Support folder located in your operating system's shared application directory, where you'll find the Alexandria database, labeled ALX.db, and supporting files, such as Operation Files (Reports, Exports, etc.). These are located within the Data folder, inside of a sub-directory which name matches the database serial number. Database archives supporting files are located in the Archives folder.

On Windows machines, the shared application folder should be kept here:

Hard Drive (typically C:) \ ProgramData \ Alexandria Support

On Macintosh machines, this folder is located in the following directory:

Hard Drive \ Users \ Shared \ Library \ Application Support \ Alexandria Support

Your Alexandria serial number is located in the following places:

  • Tools > Administration > Status
  • Circulation > Special tab > License Info,

If you you're having trouble locating it or cannot access these locations, check with your library administrator.

Scanners

Most Macintosh scanners can be used on a Windows machine with an adapter. Our customers use a wide variety of scanners so it's not possible to address this question globally. Please contact our customer support department at 1-800-347-4942 to help determine if your scanner could be used on a Windows computer.
