- ALERT 20170706: actually it should follow the normal Account defaults, with Regular Password Strength required. Right?
- ALERT 20170706: Separate security for Library Renewals and Textbook Renewals?
- Randy - 20170706. In my opinion, yes, this will come up in time but the function of ‘renewal’ for textbooks vs. library books may be controllable by access to the primary UI. In other words, a single renewals control that determines whether or not a user can perform renewals, then, they can renew library books IF they can access the librarian circulation interface and they can perform textbook renewals if they can access the textbooks circulation interface. Some level of separation for anything patrons are allowed to do themselves with the items vs. textbooks makes sense to me as well. The resources are separate and are often managed by completely different people with their own sets of rules. What works for the librarian very well may not jive with the textbooks manager.
- Myra 20180329 : For now, we will NOT allow Textbooks to be renewed in Status. That’s all.
Textbook Librarian Security Group default settings will be same as Textbook Administrator except:
- Management tab > Data Station Management is Database Utilities; Security Level is 2.
- Tools tab > SIF is No Access; Sites is View.
- Circulation tab > all same
- Preferences tab > Security is No Access
- Reporting tab > all same
- Researcher tab > all same
