What's New in Alexandria?

This update includes the groundwork for some exciting things in Alexandria’s future, along with several internal improvements and bug fixes. Check out the following:

• Send Email. A new report to send an email to any selection of patrons.
• Library Cards. Customize your Library Cards report to choose which data you want to show where.
• Logo in Researcher. Add the logo of your organization to Researcher!

Important Information

Version Numbering Change

Beginning with 7.17.7, we are modifying our versioning scheme to better coincide with scheduled monthly updates. We now use the following:

• • 7 = Series Version ; xx = Academic Year, beginning in June ; yy = Month
  • For example, 7.17.7 means:
    
    • 7 = Series Version
    • 17 = 2017 Academic year
    • 7 = The seventh monthly update
      
      

Centralized Catalogs

If you have more sites than you are licensed for, contact our Sales team immediately at 1-800-347-6439. You can check this in Sites Management; the number of total sites plus the Union Site shows at the top, and the number you have licensed is at the bottom. (The Union Site does not require an additional license.)

• All genre entries from field 655 subfield 'a' are now authority controlled.

Circulation

• Corrected an issue which was causing some circulation event sounds to not play in certain data configurations.

Explore Builder

• Corrected an issue which prevented users from pasting a URL in the Explore Builder > Open URL action field.
