Bulletin Boards

Even with the Librarian Makeover, we’ve been able to give Researcher some love. Our new Bulletin Boards are available to try out at https://ccdemo.goalexandria.com/bulletinsbeta. Our favorite new features:

  • You can set the Style (colors);
  • It’s mobile-friendly;
  • and embedded Google Forms and Calendars work great!

IMPORTANT—If you use Advanced Bookings...

Be aware that because of some of the changes to our Operations in the last few versions, Advanced Bookings reports may not run properly when initiated through the Advanced Bookings window (specifically when you choose "Automatically Check Out Items to Requesting Patrons"). So we recommend running your reservation reports via the Reports interface before processing Advanced Bookings. 

We are working to fix this issue and we thank you for your patience!

Improvements

Running utilities changes your data, and if you aren’t careful, those changes can be catastrophic! To help prevent you from accidentally clicking through, we’ve added an extra step to the utility warning windows.

The Loaned Items Information report has been tidied up. The 1-line format has been renamed to Brief, there is now a serial number format in Detailed and Brief, the columns in Detailed have been renamed, and we added a page break option for the Brief format.

In the Makeover, the TL command now works to quickly take you to the Transaction Log tab.

Circulation
  • Expired stock holds that are checked out to discard are no longer charging patron accounts.

  • Copies that were declared lost while in-transit will no longer appear in the In-Transit system patron’s Paton Details dialog; copies that were declared lost while in-transit and were later found will no longer bring up the Process Found Item dialog.

Items
  • 999 tags are no longer causing the genre tag to duplicate.
Reports

  • The links in email notifications to download the saved reports have been fixed.

Exports
  • Items notes are now exporting with the correct format.
Inventory
  • Both the Missing Items Report and Inventoried Items Report now sort by the Call Number, when run through Inventory.
