| But where do I log in?Well, that depends. The URL you'll use to log in depends on a variety of factors based on how your library is set up and which module you want to log in to. Follow the steps for your particular installation below: Cloud Hosting- Open your web browser and go to the address bar, typically located at the top of the window.
- Enter your library's domain name or IP address, forward slash (/), the name of the module you want to access.

IT Controller
If you’re running an IT Controller, you’ll need to follow your (optional) port number with a valid serial number to access a single site (e.g. http://123.456.78.910:80/7777777/librarian); to access the Controller’s “/admin” service, you forego the site-specific serial number (e.g. http://123.456.78.910:80/admin).

Log in as another operator
Need to log in as another operator? This can happens when you need to perform a task that requires a different security group. For example, if a student aid is logged in but you need to change a preference setting, you'll need to log in as an administrator who has those permissions.
here are times when you will need to access Alexandria as a operator[2] other than the one who is currently logged into the program; especially if you are required to perform a specific task that the current operator does not have the security permissions to accomplish.
For example, if a student aide is currently logged in, you may have to log in as the District or Library Administrator to change a preference setting—a task for which the aide does not have authorization.
Here's how you can access Alexandria as a different operator:
Refresh (Ctrl+R) (+R) your browser window. When the Alexandria Log In dialog appears, enter the appropriate Username and optional Password and click Log In to access the software as an entirely new operator. This way, if the operator who is currently logged into the program doesn't have the security permissions to access or change specific options, information, or preference tabs, you can log in as an operator that does.
- Refresh your browser window to see the Log In window.
- Enter your username and password.
- Click Log In.

Alexandria ControllerTo access a single site within your Controller account, you need the serial number for that site's data station. You can locate the serial number in /admin > Status, or Circulation > Special tab > License Info, or check with your library administrator. - Open your web browser and go to the address bar, typically located at the top of the window.
- Enter library's domain name or IP address, colon (:), port number, forward slash (/), serial number, forward slash (/), the name of the module you want to access.
- yourdomain.com:port/serialnumber/module

| TroubleshootingWhen Alexandria is behaving abnormally, it may be due to blocked ports, aggressive emails filters, etc. Before you give us a call, check these things first: - Does your machine have a network filter turned on?
- Is one of your network filters blocking Alexandria communications?
- Is your network blocking communications outside of your network?
- Is your email firewall blocking or filtering Alexandria messages?
