Frequently Asked Questions

Bulletin Boards and the subsequent bulletins are all created from the Bulletins Button in your Tools portion of Alexandria. Then, to create the Board you will click on the action menu at the top center of the page, the individual bulletins for that board are then created using the Plus button in the bottom left corner.

Your Bulletin Boards currently only have the ability to let you select which bulletin you would like to have in the #1 position (top left) and then everything else is stacked out according to content and bulletin size. However, Alexandria does try to keep everything in a roughly boxed out shape to make the maximum use of the displayable area.

Content for your Bulletins is entirely up to you. You can use them to showcase things happening at the school or facility, let them know about upcoming new releases or seasonal items, you can even give specific individuals the ability to manage and create bulletins for specialty groups or organizations. See our support center for more ideas.

You can create a map using any type of image creation software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Paint, etc…) or you can also do things like take pictures of your shelves or conduct an art contest with your students. Here is a link to librarian recommended resources if you are interested.

Absolutely! When it comes to having maps you can have as many as are necessary to accurately show your item locations. You may need to get creative with some of your call numbers if you are running the same call numbered materials in different locations (I.E. 100S - 300S for a storage location and 100 - 300 for shelved items).

While you can only have one Slideshow active from the /slideshow location, you can always show additional Slideshows by creating buttons that link to a Slideshow URL, see our support center here for more information.
